You are invited to the GIA General Assembly on Wednesday 22 February 2012 5:30pm at the ILO, Room 6.20
ILO entrance to the building by the bus stop 'BIT'. Follow the signs to the R2 North entrance.
You will need your ID badge (best) or if not an official ID (passport or ID card-Europe), you'll exchange this with a visitor pass at the security entrance.
Meeting 'Introduction to Geneva' start early...5:30pm. Someone will be at the security 5 minutes before that time to escort you in.
Then followed is the General Assembly, which will start at 6pm, until approximately 7:30pm. Ideally all people (non UN badges holders come in before 6pm, security is happier then).
Both meetings take place in room 6.20 (6th floor, room 20).

The prices will be 5CHF beer and wine and 10 CHF for long drinks

The MILK club is a great location near Cornavin Train Station, there will be a bar upstairs and a Dj and dance floor downstairs!
About the project:
Goal of the project is the transfer of the project “One Child – One Light” from India to Tanzania as a tool for climate protection, better education and income generation for women through:
- Climate protection by substitution of Kerosene lamps through solar lamps
- Bright light for studying and evening work
- Qualification of women regarding technical knowledge for assembling the Study Light of THRIVE Energy and to start own micro-solar business
- Opening the ZASEA Solar School Programme for the introduction of Student Lights into the schools in Zanzibar (Unguja + Pemba)
- Enabling of teachers and students in rural schools by upgrading knowledge about uses of small solar technology
- Fair marketing through introduction of the student lights into the families in rural areas to collect first experiences with solar electricity and to trust the new technology.
